TMF Quality Institute- Native American Outreach and Diabetes Training
JB was awarded a subcontract to conduct community outreach to Native Americans in Texas for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.  The project is to coordinate Diabetic Self Management Education Classes throughout the state for Medicare and Medicaid Native American participants.

JB and CMS are launching the EL Paso Texas Health for Life initiative to announce the beginning of diabetic self management education classes
 
The classes will be offered free of charge to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries who are living with diabetes to help them learn to live better with diabetes.  We are honored to have have as guests and speakers the honorable Silvestre Reyes, eight term US Congressman representing El Paso and also four time Grammy winning artist Little Joe Hernandez.

Department the Army Subcontract to PSA Army Strong Bonds Program- provide meeting logistics to organize the Strong Bonds offsite retreats

B was awarded a subcontract to support the Army Strong Bonds Program and provide meeting logistics management to organize the Strong Bonds offsite retreats. Strong Bonds is chaplain-led program which assists commanders in building individual resiliency by strengthening the Army Family through relationship education and skills training.   The retreat or "get away" provides a fun, safe, and secure environment in which to address the impact of relocations, deployments, and military lifestyle stressors.

Department of Labor, (DOL) Women's Bureau (WB)- provide communications and marketing strategy
JB was selected by the DOL WB to provide communications and marketing strategy. JB will help the WB develop and implement a Communications Support Plan, and a Communications and Marketing Plan for internal and external support to WB, national/regional education campaigns for an aggressive media outreach campaign, to meet the ultimate goal of informing women, the education community, workforce development professionals, and the general public about the current work of the Women's Bureau, including the existing policies, standards and resources that protect, and advocate for, the rights and needs of women workers.

HHS, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, Every Diabetic Counts Program , Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME)- support (EDC), provide (DSME ) training to Medicare beneficiaries
JB was awarded a subcontract to support the CMS Every Diabetic Counts (EDC) program in Texas.   The program provides Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) training to Medicare beneficiaries. DSME is the ongoing process of facilitating the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for diabetes self-care. The overarching goals of the entire initiative: tens of thousands of highest risk Hispanic and American Indian patients are trained in diabetes self management; outcomes are tracked; provider sites become certified; certified diabetes educators are present in the provider sites; community health workers are developed and integrated into the work; sustainable business models for continuing this work into the future are in place in provider sites.

HHS, Food and Drug Administration- provide conference support and webcasting for the Center for Tobacco Products Regional Retail Compliance Trainings
JB was awarded a task order under the teamPSA Strategic Sourcing BPA to provide conference support and webcasting for the Center for Tobacco Products Regional Retail Compliance Trainings.   Training conferences in 4 cities included logistics management and webcasting of each of the events.

HHS, Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Office of Head Start (OHS)- providing meeting logistics for the Office of Head Start
Under subcontract to Pal-Tech, JB has been awarded a multi-year contract to support the ACF by providing meeting logistics for the nation-wide training for the Office of Head Start.   This award was a re-complete of a prior contract held by Pal-Tech and JB in FY 2009/2010.

JB Manages NCI caBIG Conference
JB was the proud contractor supporting the U. S Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute, Cancer Biomedical Information Grid (caBIG) Annual Conference of over 1200 participants in Washington D.C., July 20-22, 2009.

JB provided completed logistical support for the 2009 Cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid Annual Meeting (caBIG®) with estimated attendance of 1200 participants July 20-22, 2009. The program consisted of a Newcomer’s Program, India web-casting using the World Bank to connect to multiple sites, two interactive sessions, Hack-a-thon, and 10 breakout sessions. The Annual meeting planning and management includes, responsibility for all logistical arrangements involved in planning and implementing the conference; establishment of conference invitational list; maintenance of a registration and abstract submission system; marketing activities to increase attendance; and, coordination of all travel arrangements, including covering the costs of sponsored travel for non-federal participants/speakers where designated by the government. JB provided support for the second part of the program – the World’s Fair, which consisted of 3 days of exhibits that provided participants opportunities to see caBIG® in action through tools, demos, posters, displays, and a Knowledge Center. The World’s Fair and Hack-a-thon portion of the program required over 180 wireless and 20 hard wired internet connections. As a result, several technicians were on staff during the entire meeting to ensure proper coverage and provide troubleshooting services. All assigned conference staff members were provided a radio to assist with quick response.
